Last Sunday and Monday, I participated in The McGladrey Team Championship.  It is a nationwide amateur championship managed by The PGA of America, in partnership with RSM McGladrey, the nation’s fifth-largest national accounting, tax and business consulting firm.  My fellow Team McGladrey members, Zach Johnson and Chris DiMarco, joined me in Pinehurst for The Team Championship where I hosted an auction to benefit the Special Olympics golf program, the official charity of The McGladrey Team Championship.  The auction raised nearly $35,000 for Special Olympics golf program, resulting in more than $175,000 being raised for Special Olympics through RSM McGladrey-sponsored events over the past year. This reflects RSM McGladrey’s belief that -- whether in business or golf -- with the right team, anything’s possible.  

In conjunction with The Team Championship, RSM McGladrey launched its new ad campaign. The campaign began Monday, October 26, and featured me and my caddie, Greg Sheridan, in The Wall Street Journal.  A series of “the power of being understood” ads highlights the similarities between business and golf, and will also feature Team McGladrey members Zach Johnson and Chris DiMarco.  The ads illustrate that when you get good advice – whether from your caddie or from your tax, accounting and business consulting firm – the power in a relationship comes from being understood.  Be sure to check out the ad on the ‘Article’ page of my site!
